GLUECOMP-3B: Free Three-Band Multiband Compressor by DYMAI Sound
DYMAI Sound has released GLUECOMP-3B, a completely free three-band multiband compressor plugin designed for individual tracks, drum groups, and master bus duties. Available as a direct installer without account registration, the processor delivers fast dynamic control across three split frequency ranges using an intuitive workflow.
Adaptive Dynamic Control Across Three Bands
Unlike traditional multiband units that require tedious threshold and ratio configuration on every band, GLUECOMP-3B streamlines dynamic shaping through an adaptive engine. The plugin splits incoming audio into low, mid, and high bands via two adjustable crossover points on an integrated real-time spectrum analyzer.
Each band combines simultaneous downward peak taming and upward compression to lift quiet nuances. Users can adjust the central ADAPT control to dictate how intensely the compressor reacts whenever an isolated frequency range exceeds the balance of the mix. Four distinct timing and character modes are provided:
- Transparent: Subtle dynamic control suited for mastering and full mix busses.
- Punchy: Faster attack and release response tailored for drum shells and transient-heavy sounds.
- Loud: Dense compression profile engineered for pre-limiter bus gluing.
- Aggressive: Heavy compression with a wide knee for overt sonic leveling.
Analog Tone Shaping and Auto Gain
Beyond basic dynamics, GLUECOMP-3B incorporates onboard coloration controls. The COLOR parameter introduces console-style harmonics and weight, while the WARMTH knob rolls off harsh top-end edge while compensating for excess low-frequency build-up.
A built-in Auto Gain function matches subjective loudness automatically, allowing producers to toggle the main process switch for transparent A/B testing without volume bias.
GLUECOMP-3B serves as a dependable free multiband compressor plugin for 2026 workflows, providing flexible bus glue and dynamic control with zero licensing fees. It is available directly from the developer in VST3 and AU formats for macOS and Windows systems.
